About B&M Optik
B&M Optik GmbH, founded in 1991, is a family-owned mid-sized company based in Limburg an der Lahn and a manufacturer of optical components and parts. Its product range extends from blank-pressed condenser optics to high-precision ground and polished quality optics with diameters from 3 to 300 mm – from one-off parts to unlimited series. Manufactured items include aspheres, spherical lenses, cylindrical lenses, freeform lenses, arrays, prisms, beam splitters, wedges, discs, laser protection glasses, color and interference filters, as well as injection-molded plastic lenses. At the Pirna plant, AR coatings, mirror and dielectric layers, and contract coating services are performed on four coating systems; in addition, optomechanical assemblies are mounted. The group produces at four European locations with a total of around 140 employees: headquarters in Limburg (development, quality assurance, central warehouse), the Planoptik plant in Pirna, the Rundoptik plant in Zaczernie (Poland), and Bluebell Industries Ltd. in Stonebroom (UK) for pressed optics. Customer industries include lighting/LED, analytics and medical technology, sensor technology, automation, optical metrology, laser technology, machine vision, as well as automotive and aircraft engineering.
