About us

B.u.G. Bohr- und Gesteinswerkzeuge GmbH is a company based in Castrop-Rauxel that emerged in 1979 from the turning shop department of Härterei Bochum. The company manufactures drill rods and casing pipes, hollow and dry augers with armoured auger flights, drill bits for dry and flushing drilling methods, and drilling drives for excavators from 0.75 to 8 tonnes. In addition, a range of around 15,000 items of machine parts and drilling accessories is offered, including flanges, adapters and connecting elements, as well as fishing tools for drill string recovery. Contract services include friction welding, GMAW welding and CNC one-off production; a design team develops new constructions according to customer requirements. Manufacturing is based on friction welding technology since 1976, CNC turning and milling, and induction annealing for seam post-treatment. Customers are found in the geothermal energy, well construction, civil engineering and mining sectors. The company is based in Castrop-Rauxel in the Ruhr area, where it operates production and warehousing with a high-bay warehouse and an additional storage hall.
