About B5-Optics
B5-Optics UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is an independent engineering office based in Jena that offers design and development services in the field of precision optical components and optical systems. The service portfolio includes optical and opto-mechanical design, the development of new products in close collaboration with the customer, as well as analysis and optimization of existing designs. In addition, the company offers consulting with concept and feasibility studies, project support across all phases (concept, specification, procurement), sales of its own developed optical products and procurement services. Custom opto-mechanical components are realized in prototype and series quantities in cooperation with international manufacturing partners. Typical fields of application are thermal imaging, metrology, calibration and inspection systems, life science, medical technology, laser applications as well as aerospace. Product examples include cooled MWIR zoom lenses, multispectral VIS/NIR systems, dual-FOV IR lenses for uncooled 8–12 µm sensors and NIR laser zoom lenses for applications in the UV-VIS-IR range.
