About BABIC

BABIC Bayerische Bitumen-Chemie GmbH has specialized since 1960 in the development, manufacture and application of bitumen emulsions. At its Igling site (district of Landsberg am Lech), the company produces cationic and polymer-modified bitumen emulsions to DIN EN 13808 for surface treatments, layer bonding, repairs and thin asphalt surface courses in cold construction (DSK). The product range includes the BABIC® and BABILIT® brand series as well as cement-free emulsions for recycled asphalt (AsphaPlus). As a service provider for southern German municipalities and road construction authorities, BABIC carries out road rehabilitation such as single and double surface treatment, fog seals, profile levelling, joint sealing and special construction methods. The vehicle fleet comprises around 85 trucks and construction machines, including spray trucks with width-variable spray bars and complete paving crews. With around 80 employees, an in-house research and quality laboratory and its own machine development, the company covers the entire value chain from emulsion manufacture to on-site execution, all from a single source.
