Knister Grill is a brand founded in 2017 by Babossa-BBQ GmbH & Co. KG, based in Bergisch Gladbach. Semester abroad in Odense (DK); won Startup Weekend Odense in November 2017; first prototype made of wood.

First metal prototype (February), Kickstarter campaign in May raising around €17,000, delivery of the first 200 grills in June, TV appearance on RTL, first trade fair in Munich.

New series delivered, supply to OBI in Bavaria, appearances at SPOGA+GAFA Cologne and Eurobike, significantly enlarged and automated production.
