The B&M Audiophile Manufactory
Backes & Müller (B&M) is an audiophile manufactory from Saarbrücken that has specialized in the development and manufacture of high-end loudspeakers for around 50 years. The company is regarded as the inventor of active technology and the cylindrical wave radiator (line source); patented innovations such as the BM-Fraunhofer line source and the B&M FIRTEC process for digital signal processing aim at room-adapted music reproduction. The loudspeakers are active, controlled and time-aligned in design, and are matched to the acoustics of the respective listening room via a calibration service. The portfolio includes product lines such as BM Line 35, BM Line 60 as well as BM Jubilé, BM Jubilé IO and BM Jubilé Neo for different room sizes and listening distances. Conceptual design and manufacturing take place in Saarbrücken according to the principle of German Engineering with master craftsmanship. The website is available in German and English.
