About Badog CNC
Badog CNC is a Swiss manufacturer of digital CNC milling machines for wood and aluminium based in Fribourg. The company was founded in 2007 in Romont and builds compact, rigid and precise CNC machines for applications such as watchmaking, prototyping, hobby and CAM manufacturing. All milling machines are designed, assembled and manufactured in Switzerland; the machine frames are made entirely from Swiss aluminium without outsourcing. Control modules, circuits and software are developed in-house (no-outsourcing policy). In addition to machine building, Badog operates a 300 m² training center in Fribourg with 20 machines for CAD/CAM training, test runs and demonstrations. Since opening, over 400 CNC machines and systems have been sold; in 2018, around 70% of revenue came from schools, startups and SMEs. Customers include, among others, Audemars Piguet, Michelin, frima and gms.

History

Founded in Romont, Switzerland, with around 900 francs and a 15 m² workshop (Project X).
- 2008
Switch to a no-outsourcing policy; construction of the first milling machine Badog X2; second machine Badog X3.
- 2008–2012
The Badog X3 produced 300 complete machines and an estimated 25,000 workpieces in stone, aluminium, steel, vinyl and wood.
