About Bäckerei Bormuth

Bäckerei Bormuth GmbH is a Darmstadt family business in the baker's trade, baking according to artisan principles since 1913. The product range includes bread and rolls, pastries and cakes, cakes and pralines in confectioner style, seasonal baked goods as well as homemade snacks, salads and bowls; coffee specialities are also offered in all shops. Production takes place without industrial pre-made products: doughs rest in some cases for more than 20 hours, every loaf is worked by hand, and fillings and bowls are made in-house. The grain comes from integrated farming within a radius of at most 30 km around the Darmstadt bakery and is milled by the Schloßmühle in Mühltal. Production is located on Otto-Röhm-Straße in Darmstadt, supplying around 25 branches in Darmstadt and southern Hesse up to five times a day. The company is today run by Dr. Nicole Baumüller and Katharina Bormuth in the fourth generation.
