About Bantiger Uhr

Bantiger Uhr is a watch brand of Bärner Zytfabrik GmbH, based in Ostermundigen near Bern. The company manufactures the “947” watch model 100% in Switzerland in accordance with the criteria of the Swiss Made label; the first collection is limited to 160 watches. The grade 5 titanium cases – partly from recycled sources – are formed using 100% renewable energy. The straps are made of sturgeon leather (Swiss fish leather), tanned from skins discarded by the sturgeon breeding operation at Tropenhaus Frutigen at the Zeller tannery in Steffisburg and processed in Sabina Brägger's atelier. Mother-of-pearl and exotic leathers such as alligator or snake leather are avoided. In sales, the company focuses on custom design on request, behind-the-scenes events for groups, and partnerships, including as official timekeeper of the Swiss Poker Series. Since 2025, Bantiger Uhr has supported PluSport, the umbrella organization of Swiss disabled sports, annually.
