About BAG Ölmühle
BAG Ölmühle BetriebsgmbH is a soybean oil mill located in Güssing in Burgenland. Since 2011, exclusively non-GMO soybeans of European origin have been processed there into soybean extraction meal and soybean oil. The raw material is primarily purchased in Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Slovakia, with a maximum distance of 300 kilometres to the production site. In 24-hour shift operation, the oil is extracted in an extraction unit from the cleaned, crushed soybeans; the remaining meal is hydrothermally treated, dried, cooled and stored. The soybean oil is offered as crude, degummed oil with a phosphorus content of maximum 200 ppm. The products go to the food and feed industry, the chemical industry, pharmacy and biodiesel production. Production is operated with 100 % renewable energy; the company is a member and partner of the Donau Soja association.
