About BAGE Plastics

BAGE Plastics is a producer of Post-Consumer Recyclates (PCR) specialized in plastics recycling, with locations in Wolfern and St. Marien (Austria) as well as Großschirma (Germany). For more than a decade, the company has focused on the recycling of refrigerators and small electrical appliances (WEEE). From purchased, shredded plastic waste (PS fridge and WEEE), approximately 35,000 tonnes of high-quality PCR granulate are produced per year – 365 days a year – for applications in extrusion and injection molding. The portfolio comprises rPS, rPP, rABS and PC/ABS blends with up to 90 % recycled content; using internally developed compounding technologies, customer-specific compounds with additives are produced that feature mechanical and melt-flow properties comparable to virgin material. The entire process chain from fractionation of the plastic waste to compounding is controlled in-house. In 2022, BAGE developed rABS grades together with INEOS Styrolution for TERLURAN® ECO GP-22 with up to 70 % PCR content.
