About BALANCE

BALANCE is a German energy company based in Germany and, with over 40 biogas plants in northern and eastern Germany, is one of the country's leading biogas plant operators. From renewable raw materials and residual materials, the company generates reliable and flexibly controllable energy with around 200 employees: biomethane directly from the producer, renewable electricity, renewable local heat as well as biogenic CO₂ for industry. The firing heat capacity of the plants is 241 MW FWL, which in purely mathematical terms can supply around 227,000 households. In addition to the efficient operation of the plants, BALANCE invests in existing and new plant concepts and further develops innovative products along its own value chain. Founded in 2006 as a biogas pioneer, the company positions itself as a partner of the local energy transition and thereby saves emissions in the order of 418,000 t of CO₂ equivalents.
