BALLISTOL GmbH is a traditional family-owned company based in Aham, Bavaria. Ballistol Universal Oil, developed in 1904, was originally conceived as a gun oil for the German Imperial Army and has since been manufactured largely unchanged. Today the product range comprises over 90 products for humans, animals and technology – from skin care and mosquito protection to animal care oils, gun care, bicycle care, professional cleaners and technical specialty oils. In addition to distributing its own brand, the company offers contract filling: from development through manufacturing to the filling of chemical-cosmetic and biocidal products. The company is certified to DIN ISO 9001:2015 for the trade in chemical-cosmetic and biocidal products and supplies wholesale and specialized retail as well as pharmacies, with international representatives among others in the United Kingdom, the USA and Thailand.
