About Bangerter Microtechnik

Bangerter Microtechnik AG is a Swiss family-owned company headquartered in Aarberg that has been developing and manufacturing components made of superhard materials since 1969. The portfolio includes precision parts made of technical ceramics – including silicon carbide (SiC) and silicon nitride (Si3N4) – as well as carbide for applications in medical technology, the watch industry, metrology, mechanical engineering and microsystems technology. The value chain ranges from development and selection of the raw material through product design optimization to automated manufacturing. Manufacturing processes include 5- and 6-axis grinding technology, CNC-controlled machining, machining in the pre-sintered state and automated production cells. With more than 180 employees, the company produces at three sites in Switzerland; a third site specializes in medical technology. In 2025, the groundbreaking for a new headquarters in Aarberg with 10'466 m² of space took place, with occupancy planned for May 2027.
