About Barmag
Barmag is a manufacturer of technologies for the production of man-made fibers based in Remscheid and has belonged to the Swiss Rieter Group since 2026. Under the product brands Barmag and Neumag, the company develops and manufactures spinning systems for filament, BCF and staple fiber yarns, texturing machines (DTY), systems for nonwovens and meltblown fabrics, and gear metering pumps (spinning pumps) for the textile, automotive, chemical and paint industries. The process chain covers continuous polycondensation (CP) through to POY, FDY, DTY and IDY yarn processes as well as polyester recycling technologies. In addition, Barmag offers commissioning services: installation, assembly, disassembly and reassembly, plant relocation and turnkey solutions including project management. Digital solutions such as the atmos.io platform and the online quality monitoring system FiberGuard complete the offering. R&D work is focused on energy efficiency and sustainable technologies (e-save); current machine generations such as the eFK EvoSmart texturing machine rely on energy-efficient components such as the EvoHeater and IE5 motor technology.
