Bartz Maschinenbau GmbH, based in Mayen (Rhineland-Palatinate), plans and manufactures turnkey plant technology for the aluminium industry and aluminium recycling. The product portfolio includes tilting drum furnaces (KTO series) for melting aluminium scrap and dross, holding and melting furnaces with bath treatment, casting systems for converting liquid aluminium into ingots and castings, components for liquid metal handling such as transport crucibles and launder systems, as well as highly precise plate saws and highly automated scrap saws. Bartz delivers complete melting plants from planning through manufacturing and assembly to commissioning, including production training and operator software for production data management and statistical process optimization. Reference projects are located, among others, in Germany, Italy, Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic and China.

- 2015
Commissioning of the remelting plant at Metal Trade Comax in Velvary (Czech Republic): KTO 16, WHO 24, ingot casting systems and holding/heating stations; delivery of novel crucible sealing plugs and optimised 5–6 t transport crucibles with a temperature loss of only −6 °C/h.
- 2016
Delivery and assembly of the EcoGreen melting plant in Villafranca di Verona (KTO 20, PSO, Sows casting carousel, filter system); turn-key 45 t holding furnace plant in Koblenz completed.
- 2017
First expansion stage of the Eco Green Italy melting plant commissioned; AMAG awards Bartz the contract for a KTO 40 tilting drum furnace with 40 t charging capacity.

Commissioning of the currently world's largest tilting drum furnace KTO40 at AMAG Austria Metall AG.
