About Tischlerei Ritzmann
Bau- & Möbeltischlerei Ritzmann is a craft business in Breitenbach near Schmalkalden in southern Thuringia that has existed since 1928 and is run in its third generation by master joiner Jens Ritzmann. The range of services covers stair construction, the manufacture of windows and doors, interior fitting, custom and built-in furniture, wooden floors, and the supply and installation of garage doors, shutters and awnings. Production is mainly in wood and solid wood, in furniture making among other things in beech; furniture surfaces are treated with biological wax to preserve the wood's ability to breathe. Custom furniture is made to individual customer requirements, complemented by furniture fitting under sloped ceilings and other joinery work. After 1990 the business invested in modern machinery and an enlarged company building, which was already built by founder Louis Ritzmann and still houses the joinery today.
