About bau8sam
bau8sam is an engineering consultancy for building physics founded in 2006 by Dietmar Straub in Ravensburg. The six-member team provides manufacturer-independent consulting, planning, calculation and verification in the fields of thermal insulation, moisture protection, sound insulation and room acoustics. The service portfolio includes energy-efficient refurbishment concepts, official verifications (EnEV, EEWärmeG, KfW, ventilation concepts, refurbishment roadmap Baden-Württemberg), room acoustics simulations and measurements as well as airtightness measurements with leak detection using infrared camera and fog machine. In addition, the office performs detailed planning and risk assessment of critical building component assemblies with regard to water vapour diffusion and surface condensation. Since its founding, more than 1,000 projects have been supported, ranging from residential buildings to office and commercial buildings as well as listed buildings and event venues. The office is located in Ravensburg in Upper Swabia, Baden-Württemberg.
