About Bauer Maschinenbau
Bauer Maschinenbau GmbH develops and manufactures CNC drilling and milling machines of the BAUER MDX series for machining long, pre-sawn workpieces with machining lengths of 2 to 8 metres. The drilling systems operate on the moving-column principle, in which the workpiece table remains stationary and the drill head travels. The control was developed in cooperation with Mitsubishi Electric and allows programming directly at the machine without CNC knowledge; in addition, data in DXF and DSTV formats can be imported. The range includes the models MDX 20 to MDX 80 with travel distances of 2100 to 8050 mm in the X axis. The machines perform drilling (3–40 mm), thread tapping (M4–M30), milling of slotted holes, circles, contours and pockets as well as drain hole drilling. In addition to the machines, the company offers vices in manual and hydraulic versions as well as accessories such as roller stands, chip conveyors, spray systems and angle heads. Customers include companies in metalworking, steel construction and railing construction.

Adjustable over the entire clamping range 400/600 mm without tools, available in manual and hydraulic versions.
DXF/DSTV data import
Import of design data directly into the machine control in addition to shop-floor programming.
