Company history
- 1932
Founded as 'Baugeschäft Steiger' by civil engineer Walter Steiger in Oederan; construction of multi-family houses and reconstruction of natural stone bridges, including the Wegefarth railway viaduct and the railway bridge in the Oederan town forest.
- 1979
Business taken over by son and master mason Hermann Steiger; repair and conversion work in the public sector, including Hotel Hirsch, the day care center and the athletes' dormitory in Oederan.
- 1995
Founding of Baugeschäft Steiger GmbH with Hermann and Ralf Steiger as managing directors; construction of private homes in brick construction and exterior plaster on listed buildings.
- 2006
Ralf Steiger takes over as sole managing director; headquarters in the new building at Richard-Rentsch-Str. 25a in Oederan.
