About BAUMANN
BAUMANN is a Swiss family-owned company founded in 1886, now in its fifth generation, with around 1,500 employees and a group revenue of CHF 240 million. The company manufactures technically demanding springs (compression, spiral, torsion, and wave springs), wire bent parts, stamped parts, as well as contact elements (Canted Coil Springs) and lamella contacts for electrical power transmission. Production encompasses in-house tool development and toolmaking, multi-slide bending, inert-gas and laser welding of contact element ends, and surface technology such as zinc flake coating (since 1982) and plating with gold, silver, nickel, and tin. Materials include spring band steel, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, copper, zirconium copper, and beryllium copper. In-house winding machines are developed and built by the machine engineering division BAMATEC AG. The group operates production sites in eight countries on three continents, including the headquarters in Ermenswil (Switzerland) and plants in Germany, the Czech Republic, Spain, the USA, Singapore, China, and Mexico. Customers come from the automotive, industrial, medical/pharmaceutical, electrical, and energy technology sectors; over 4.8 billion parts are produced annually.
