Bay City Textilhandels GmbH is a European service provider in the textile industry headquartered in Hamburg and, since its founding in 1975, part of the Norderstedt-based Schmidt Group. The company covers almost the entire fashion sourcing chain: from design and product development via purchasing and production through to logistics, textile service and content production. In addition to its own brands such as DETTO FATTO, POLO SYLT, NAVIGATOR, COLORADO DENIM and OKLAHOMA JEANS, BAY CITY develops and sources customer-specific private-label and licensed programmes. Production takes place through a partner network in Europe and the Far East, accompanied by its own on-site inspection team in Asia. In Hamburg and Norderstedt, the company offers, among other things, 28,000 m² of hall space for storage, goods inspection, finishing and picking as well as a 1,500 m² photo studio for e-commerce images. Using the 3D simulation software CLO3D, the company shortens its development processes.
