About Bayer Prototypen
Bayer Prototypen is a family-owned company based in Wittgert in the Westerwald region, specialising in CNC machining, prototype construction and the manufacture of complex machinery components. Its service portfolio includes CNC milling up to 5 axes, CNC turning up to 6 axes, wire EDM with start-hole drilling, grinding and laser marking. In addition, the company offers CAD design with SolidWorks, CAD/CAM programming, jig and fixture construction, toolmaking and tool repair, reverse engineering using 3D scanning, as well as the manufacture and assembly of complete assemblies including functional testing. Production is carried out to drawing or 3D model – from one-off pieces and prototypes to small-batch and small-series production, supported by automated robot loading with continuous 24/7 manufacturing. Customers come from mechanical engineering, medical technology and the automotive industry and are located throughout Europe. A company-owned high-bay warehouse enables on-demand storage of materials and components. Having grown since 2004, the company operates with DIN EN ISO 9001-certified processes and a self-developed ERP system.

Processes & Procedures
Milling up to 5 axes
Simultaneous 5-axis machining for highly complex components from single parts to small series, with automated robot loading for 24/7 complete machining.
Turning up to 6 axes
Production of rotationally symmetrical components with complex contours, from single pieces to series with high repeatability.
Wire EDM
Burr-free, precise cuts with fine contours, even on extremely hard or delicate materials.
Grinding
Surface grinding and fine grinding for dimensionally accurate mating surfaces and perfect surfaces in finishing.
Laser marking
Durable, material-friendly marking such as serial numbers, logos or QR codes for traceability.
CAD/CAM programming
Direct processing of design data (including STEP, DXF, IGES) into production-ready CNC programs.
Measurement & Scanning / Reverse Engineering
Contactless 3D capture of complex geometries for quality assurance, digitalisation and component reconstruction.
