About the Bayerische Asphalt-Mischwerke
Bayerische Asphalt-Mischwerke GmbH & Co. KG für Straßenbaustoffe (bam), headquartered in 85649 Hofolding near Munich, specializes in the production of asphalt mix and supplies customers throughout Bavaria via a close-meshed distribution network. At over 40 of its own production sites as well as in the manufacturing facilities of affiliated companies, a comprehensive portfolio is produced: base courses, asphalt binder courses, asphalt surface courses, stone mastic asphalt, mastic asphalt and porous asphalt according to TL Asphalt-StB and DIN EN 13108. The range also includes noise-reducing asphalts, coloured asphalt (bam COLOUR), DEUSEAL silo asphalt for sealing layers in biogas and JGS plants, cold asphalt for repairs, and mix for rural road construction, sports fields and permeable traffic surfaces. With bam OPTIMATE, bam produces asphalt mix from up to 100 % processed reclaimed asphalt granulate; every tonne of reclaimed asphalt delivered is reused at a high quality level in the newly produced mix. Engineers and technicians continuously develop the asphalt solutions further, with the aim of environmentally compatible and resource-conserving production.

Mix types and binders
Asphalt concrete (AC 5–AC 32)
Asphalt base courses, binder courses and surface courses according to TL Asphalt-StB 07/13.
Stone mastic asphalt (SMA 5–SMA 11)
Highly load-bearing surface courses, also in low-noise variants SMA 5 LA and SMA 8 LA.
Mastic asphalt (MA 5–MA 11)
Mastic asphalt for surface courses, among others low-carbonate for impervious pavements.

Quality assurance
The quality of the asphalt mix is checked annually as part of the in-house production control certified according to DIN EN 13108. In addition, an occupational safety management system, Sicher mit System, has been introduced, which is regularly audited by the employers' liability insurance association BG RCI.
