About BMi eG
Bayerische Milchindustrie eG (BMi) is a cooperatively organised dairy headquartered in Landshut with a tradition spanning more than 70 years. The company produces cheese specialities and fresh milk products for retail and bulk consumers as well as dried products (ingredients) such as milk and whey powders for the food industry. A key focus is the processing of liquid whey into whey derivatives; in the field of organic whey derivatives, BMi counts among the internationally established suppliers. The products are supplied in conventional and organic quality to many regions of the world. The company's own whey base from its own cheese plants forms the foundation of the ingredients production. Production takes place at the sites of Jessen (Saxony-Anhalt) as well as Peiting, Windsbach, Winzer and Zapfendorf (Bavaria); at the Zapfendorf site, the ingredients business is being further expanded under the Masterplan Ingredients (MPI).
