Baykon is a manufacturer of industrial weighing instruments founded in 1987, headquartered in Istanbul (Tuzla), Turkey. The product portfolio includes analogue and digital load cells, weighing modules, weighing indicators, weighing transmitters, weighing controllers, industrial PCs, junction boxes as well as industrial and laboratory scales from compact scales to truck scales. The products are developed both custom-built and standardised and integrated into ERP and PLC/SCADA automation systems. With more than 150 employees, Baykon exports to almost 100 countries on five continents and operates its own R&D centre as well as a TÜRKAK-accredited calibration laboratory according to ISO/IEC 17025. Services include calibration, validation (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ), technical service support, remote monitoring and SQC software for statistical quality control. Customer industries include among others pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, logistics, construction and steel.

Baykon operates an ISO 9001-certified quality management system, a TÜRKAK-accredited calibration laboratory according to ISO/IEC 17025 and METAS-accredited AT inspections. The majority of load cells and electronic modules are certified according to OIML and EU directives (2014/31/EU, 2014/32/EU), including ATEX and IECEx approvals.

October 13: Visit of a delegation of the Japanese weighing industry (JMIF) led by Senri Tanida to the Baykon plant in Istanbul.
