About BBL-Industriemesstechnik
BBL-Industriemesstechnik is a specialized manufacturer of bulk temperature sensors for measuring melt and bulk temperatures in plastics and rubber extruders as well as rubber mixers. The family-owned company, founded in 1981 as a spin-off of the Institute for Plastics Processing (IKV) at RWTH Aachen, has been manufacturing at its Aachen site for over 40 years. The product range includes fixed extruder sensors (RFU, RFM), adjustable versions (PWU, PWM) and rugged sensors for rubber mixers, each with Pt100 or thermocouple. In addition to standard products, custom-made solutions to customer specification are offered — including replacements for sensors from other manufacturers — as well as accessories such as connectors, cables, flanges and connection heads. Customers include leading manufacturers in the plastics, rubber and tire industries as well as plant engineering companies worldwide. Production runs on 100 % green electricity, and shipping is CO2-neutral in sustainable packaging.
