About BeA
BeA GmbH, based in Ahrensburg, is the successor to Joh. Friedrich Behrens AG founded in 1910 and manufactures pneumatic nailers, industrial fasteners such as nails and staples, and related accessories. The company supplies these products to the furniture, packaging and construction industries and distributes them through an international network of its own sales and service companies. In fiscal year 2019, the former Joh. Friedrich Behrens AG generated revenue of €118.8 million with 441 employees, of which around 67 percent came from fasteners, around 13 percent from pneumatic tools and around 20 percent from other products. After the insolvency of the publicly listed AG in 2020, the Chinese group Hangzhou GreatStar Industrial acquired the essential assets in March 2021 and continued the business almost entirely as BeA GmbH. The corporate group is managed from Ahrensburg and comprises 14 subsidiaries and branches as well as the brands BeA, BeA Autotec and KMR.
