About BeckaBeck
BeckaBeck is an artisan bakery and confectionery based in Römerstein on the Swabian Alb. In its own baking workshop, breads, rolls, cakes, tortes, snacks and seasonal products such as gingerbread and Stollen are produced predominantly in ORGANIC quality. All of the grain – Alb spelt, Alb wheat and Alb rye (light-grain rye) – comes from farmers in the region and is milled only months after harvest; the flour matures for several weeks before processing. Long dough resting times of up to 48 hours reduce the FODMAP content and improve digestibility, according to a joint study with the University of Hohenheim. The products are sold via around 20 of the company's own branches and cafés in the region, the online shop with delivery within Germany, as well as partner shops and wholesale. In Merklingen, the company also operates the H_Albzeit market hall and restaurant.
