Becker Stahl-Service GmbH, headquartered in Bönen, is one of the largest service centers in the flat steel sector in Europe and part of the Becker Group, a producer-independent multi-metal platform for steel, stainless steel and aluminium. The company processes around 1 million tonnes of material annually and supplies wide strip, slit strip, sheets, free-form blanks, circles and corrugated sheets in versions such as hot-rolled, cold-rolled, hot-dip galvanized, electrolytically galvanized, galvalume-coated and organically coated. Processing takes place on modern cutting lines; through its subsidiary Umformtechnik Stendal, components are also produced by forming from prototype to large-scale series. The range of services includes distribution, warehousing, logistics, materials management, pre-fabrication and digitalization, complemented by an in-house laboratory for quality management. Over 50 % of the goods go to the automotive industry; further customers come from the tube industry. Around 500 employees work at the headquarters in Bönen.
