BEDIA Motorentechnik GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Altdorf near Nuremberg, develops and manufactures sensors for level and temperature detection under harsh environmental conditions. The product portfolio includes capacitive level monitoring probes, intelligent tank sensors for diesel fuels and oils, bimetal temperature switches, electronic temperature switches and sensors based on Pt-1000 thin-film measuring resistors, screw-in measuring resistors as well as voltage converters for automotive and industrial applications. The sensors operate without mechanically moving parts and are therefore insensitive to vibration and contamination; the mounting flanges and measuring tubes of the tank sensors are made of die-cast aluminium. BEDIA supplies manufacturers of engines, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, commercial vehicles, buses, gensets and compressors; the level sensors are approved for marine applications by ten classification societies. In addition to standard products, the company develops custom sensor solutions – from high-volume series to small quantities – and offers compatible replacements for discontinued level switches.
