About BEFER & TAT

BEFER GmbH and TAT GmbH are a manufacturer of precast concrete elements, support systems and reinforced concrete structures based in Halberstadt. The core business of BEFER GmbH comprises the conception, planning, production, delivery and assembly of structural precast concrete elements such as element slabs, wall panels, stairs, balconies, columns and downstand beams, with a specialization in exposed concrete requirements as well as coloured and architectural concrete. TAT GmbH manufactures Pantex® lattice girders (3-cord, 4-cord, Light, Compact) as securing elements for tunnelling in shotcrete construction, made of reinforcing steel B500 B or B 550 B and flat/angle steel S235. The value chain ranges from the company's own Holtemmenaue II gravel pit via a fully automatic concrete mixing plant with residual concrete recycling to 3D plant engineering, production in a manufacturing hall with a pallet circulation system and 3D steel processing, as well as assembly on the construction site. Projects include production halls, schools, office buildings, bridges and elevator shafts; tunnelling systems are in use in projects realized worldwide. The company belongs to the Richard Schulz corporate group and employs 87 staff.
