About Beglau Wärmepumpen

Beglau Wärmepumpen GmbH is a family-owned company based in Rampe near Leezen (Ludwigslust-Parchim district, Schwerin region) that has been planning, building, modernizing and maintaining heat pump systems since 1991; Wolfgang Beglau's technical experience dates back to 1985. The range of services covers air-to-water heat pumps and ground-source heat pumps (brine-to-water) including hydraulics, underfloor heating, storage tanks, control technology and service for private residential buildings, multi-family houses, commercial properties and public facilities. In addition to systems from established manufacturers (including Buderus, LG, Krone, Stiebel Eltron, ZEWOTHERM, Kermi, Vaillant), the company offers its own heat pump with an inhouse-developed smart home web app, which was further developed in cooperation with Wismar University of Applied Sciences, Chemnitz University of Technology and TU Berlin. Special technical solutions such as an artificial energy pond as a heat source or near-surface collectors are implemented on a project-specific basis. A subsidy advisory service supports customers in checking eligibility and applying for government funding. In 2023, the company received the Zukunftspreis Handwerk in the Special Award Digitalization category.

Technology and Processes

R290

Refrigerant propane (R290)

Natural refrigerant with low greenhouse potential, used in the air-to-water heat pumps marketed by the company.

LW

Air-to-water heat pumps

Compact systems requiring from 0.5 m² of space, for new builds and modernization, also with radiators.

SW

Brine-to-water ground-source heat pumps

Use of constant ground temperatures via collectors, energy ponds or probes for high annual performance factors.

SM

Smart home control

Inhouse-developed web app for control, remote monitoring and PV integration.
