About Bembelproduktion
The Bembelproduktion of Bembeltown Design and more has been producing individual Bembel in Frankfurt am Main since 1989 – the traditional gray-blue stoneware jugs for apple wine – by hand. The product range includes apple wine Bembel in sizes from 0.25 to 10.0 liters, individual beer mugs as well as other ceramic tableware such as small bowls, Guglhupf cake pans, dripping pans, Handkäs pots, and dining and coffee tableware in the Bembel look. Products are made from original stoneware (sintered stoneware) made of highly pure clays with a high aluminum oxide content, fired at 1200 to 1300 °C. All products can be personalized with names, logos, sayings or coats of arms; one-off pieces, small series and large production runs are possible. Special productions are usually completed within 12–14 days. The company completely avoids salt glaze and instead uses an environmentally friendly, food-approved glaze. Customers include gastronomy, clubs, non-profit organizations and companies for events, trade fairs and anniversaries; products are also sold directly via the Bembel Shop Frankfurt.
