About Bender-Ferndorf Rohr

Bender-Ferndorf Rohr GmbH is a family business founded in 1917 in Kreuztal-Ferndorf, specialising in the manufacture of longitudinally welded and spiral-welded pipes. The product range is characterised by the processing of higher-strength steels with high wall thicknesses and large production lengths; the diameter range extends from 500 to 1800 mm. Around 100 employees produce approximately 100,000 tonnes of pipes annually in various diameters, wall thicknesses and lengths, which are delivered worldwide. Almost all machines come from in-house production or were individually built to meet the requirements. Despite relatively small production volumes, the pipes are frequently used in major projects in niche applications, including the particle accelerator at CERN in Geneva, the driven pipes for the lock gates in Venice, and drinking water pipelines for the Lake Constance water supply.
