About beolum
beolum is a company for sustainable luminaires founded in 2021. The products are made from natural or reused materials such as flax (natural fiber composite), wood from sustainable forestry – mainly locally grown species such as beech –, processed coffee grounds as a by-product of coffee production, and recycled glass. These are intended to minimize the share of metal and plastic in the lighting industry. The collection combines these materials with modern lighting technology, including a sunlight-like light spectrum with a color rendering index of 97 and reduced blue light exposure; the VEGA series can be controlled via the CASAMBI app and smart home. The products are sold through the company's own online shop; a showroom is available. A broader outlook includes the processing of further raw materials such as beer or tea.
