About Berg Brauerei
Berg Brauerei Ulrich Zimmermann GmbH & Co. KG is a family-run brewery in the Ehingen district of Berg on the Swabian Alb. First documented in 1466 as the 'Wirtshaus auf dem Berg' (Inn on the Mountain), the company has been brewing beer for over 550 years and has been family-owned since 1757, now in its tenth generation. Beer is brewed using the rare and elaborate method of open vat fermentation with regional raw materials such as Albkorn barley malt, wheat and spelt malt as well as hops from the Hallertau and Tettnang regions. The range comprises twelve year-round and six seasonal beer specialties, including Ulrichsbier, which has been brewed especially for the St. Ulrich festival since 1911. Annual production is approximately 30,000 hectoliters; four beers are produced in organic quality from organically farmed ingredients. In addition to the brewery, the company operates the BrauereiWirtschaft restaurant, a festival service with draught beer and festival equipment rental, and an experience program with brewery tours, beer brewing courses and e-bike tours.

Quality & Responsibility
The brewery uses regionally typical raw materials and eight beers of its organic line (DE-ÖKO-006). Wooden kegs are pitched annually at the Faßfabrik Schmid in Munich with natural keg pitch made from tree resin to maintain a smooth, easy-to-clean surface.
