About Berghänel Elektrotechnik

Berghänel Elektrotechnik (BET), formerly Richard Berghänel & Söhne, is a family business founded in 1903 in Chemnitz/Saxony in the field of electrical engineering development and prototype construction. The portfolio of services includes the development of electrical devices, their components as well as test and measurement technology, the construction of prototypes and small series, endurance run tests as well as laboratory investigations of electrical devices in short- and long-term operation. In addition, the company plans and installs systems for the brush run-in of electrical machines including specific run-in programs and develops application-specific test equipment and controls. A focus lies on electrothermal applications for the packaging industry, in particular blister packaging. Extensive laboratory and test facilities as well as workshops are available at the headquarters in Chemnitz. Customers are located in Europe, Asia and North America, among others in the household appliance industry, in electrical machine engineering and in power tools. Since 2019 the quality management system has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015.
