About Stainzer
The Stainz dairy was founded in 1928 as a cooperative and processes and markets raw milk from family farms in Styria. The product range includes drinking milk, soured milk and buttermilk, whipping cream and sour cream, natural yoghurts, fruit yoghurts, drinks and desserts as well as butter and quark. Among other things, the milk is microfiltered and pasteurised, and soured milk products are fermented with lactic acid cultures. Non-GMO animal feed and strict hygiene guidelines are part of the quality standard. The quality requirements go beyond statutory regulations and are verified at all stages of processing through internal and external controls. The company is organised as a commercial and economic cooperative (Berglandmilch eGen) headquartered in Voitsberg; the dairy site is located in Stainz in western Styria.
