About Bernauer Design
Bernauer Design is a furniture manufactory and interior design studio with an upholstery workshop in Waldshut on the High Rhine, in the Waldshut–Zurich border region. The company designs, develops and manufactures upholstered furniture such as sofas, armchairs, stools and tables exclusively to order as individual one-offs as well as precise custom pieces made to customer specifications. Production combines traditional upholstery craftsmanship with modern technology: CAD-supported upholstery production, CNC cutting for cover parts, as well as series production and supply to industry. Materials processed include various types of leather (nappa leather, velour leather, thick furniture leather, saddler leather), furniture fabrics, solid oak wood, carbon, foams, pocket spring cores and down. In addition to furniture production, the range of services includes furniture restoration, reupholstery, cushions, upholstery and wall coverings, as well as car interiors and certified auto upholstery with vintage car restoration and individual car design; according to the terms and conditions, also vehicle and aircraft interior fittings as well as design and development services. Customers are private customers, vintage car owners and industrial customers in Germany and Switzerland; a showroom with an on-site exhibition complements the offering.
