About 3be audio
3be audio is an atelier in Hilden near Düsseldorf that designs and manufactures high-end loudspeakers for home HiFi applications. The focus is on the so-called Aural Sculptures: loudspeaker enclosures produced in one piece as seamless, organically shaped objects using additive manufacturing (3D printing). The materials used are castable materials such as polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), polyamide 12 (PA12) and sand; the parts are polymerized, melted or cemented in special additive manufacturing processes. The 3D objects are produced via technical partners such as Additive Elements and Sandhelden; the final assembly with high-end drivers (including ScanSpeak, Davis), crossover modules and cable sets is carried out by the studio. In addition to manufacturing, 3be audio offers CAD design and 3D art, surface finishing with haptic qualities, a webshop with original parts and materials for self-assembly based on legacy models, as well as private listening sessions. The company is backed by Bernd Marsch Unternehmungen GmbH (HRB 88255, Local Court Düsseldorf) and supplies customers worldwide.

Quality
Acoustic quality is evaluated through frequency response and sound pressure measurements in the company's own listening room as well as by experienced test listeners; the enclosure materials are assessed in terms of loss factor and resonance behavior.
