Bernhard Rothfos Intercafé AG (BRIC) is a coffee trading company based in Zug and part of the globally active Neumann Kaffee Gruppe (NKG) headquartered in Hamburg. Founded in 1979, the company is a leading provider of coffee services in Switzerland. BRIC coordinates the trading of green, specialty and instant coffee for the Swiss market through the InterAmerican Coffee division. Further services include trade finance, document handling and logistics (coffee forwarding) for NKG export companies, as well as financing for export companies and farms of the group. Through the NKG Quality Service unit, BRIC operates a modern cupping facility for quality training and the analysis of coffee samples from all over the world. On average, around 5 million bags of coffee are handled annually. BRIC is verifiably authorized to market coffees carrying the Fairtrade International, UTZ/Rainforest Alliance, Bio Suisse, 4C and AAA Nespresso labels as well as the in-house initiative NKG Verified.
