About us
Berthold Kunrath GmbH and BK Stanz- und Umformtechnik GmbH form a family-owned company at the Theley site in the northern Saarland with around 70 employees. The toolmaking department manufactures complex single, progressive die, transfer and hand-insertion tools in plate and cast construction as well as in modular design up to 4 m in length, including tryout. The sheet metal parts production uses mechanical and hydraulic presses up to 800 t to produce stamped, deep-drawn and bent parts made of steel (0.3–5.0 mm) and stainless steel (0.15–2.5 mm), with a focus on complex deep-drawn parts and transfer-manufactured parts up to 4,000 mm tool length. An in-house 3D laser technology enables rapid production of prototypes and small series as well as laser processing as contract work. Customers come primarily from the automotive and supply industry, the construction industry and mechanical engineering. The chain from design (CATIA, VISI-Progress) through machining to tool assembly, tryout and part cleaning is carried out in-house.
