About widmaier
Berthold Widmaier GmbH & Co. KG, founded in 1929, is a family-run furnishing and fit-out specialist for nurseries, kindergartens, after-school care centres/all-day programs (OGS), full-day facilities and schools, headquartered in Aichwald near Stuttgart. The company develops its own furniture series in dialogue with educators and manufactures them predominantly at its production sites in Waiblingen and Obersontheim in Baden-Württemberg. The manufactured furniture includes coat racks, changing units, cabinet elements, tables, chairs, play platforms and workbenches, made mostly of wood from certified forestry, especially beech and birch, complemented by linoleum, plastic and steel components. In addition to furniture manufacturing, the product range includes play and activity materials, craft supplies, learning aids as well as playground equipment and outdoor furnishings. The service chain extends from free expert advice through on-site measurement, 3D CAD planning and production to delivery with the company's own vehicle fleet and on-site assembly. Custom-made products in individual dimensions, colours and configurations are possible. Customers are exclusively institutional bodies such as municipalities, churches, parent initiatives and school authorities; deliveries cover Germany with a focus on Baden-Württemberg as well as EU countries abroad.
