The Company
Bertschinger GmbH & Co. KG is an owner-managed family business founded in 1945, with around 60 employees in Aldingen. The company designs and manufactures conveying technology (including belt conveyors, modular belts, dip bath conveyor systems and roller conveyors), protective equipment such as machine enclosures, robot housings, cabins and safety fences, as well as ergonomic workstation systems – predominantly based on its own modular system of aluminium profiles. In addition, the company offers special-purpose machines, machine frames, CE conversion of imported machinery, and services ranging from consulting and engineering to installation, commissioning and maintenance. Production takes place in-house in Aldingen with a high degree of vertical integration and a high level of automation; materials used include aluminium profiles as well as stainless steel (V2A), sheet steel, polycarbonate and safety glass. Customers come from mechanical engineering, the automotive industry, medical technology and the packaging industry; the company primarily works on a project basis.
