About BES Bollmann
BES Bollmann is a Dutch plant manufacturer based in Almelo, specialised in artificial drying. The company develops and manufactures custom wood drying kilns (engineering to order) with controlled temperature, humidity and air circulation systems as well as the in-house Tromatic 810, 910 and NEXT controls. The process spectrum includes conventional drying, progressive continuous drying, steam drying, heat treatment according to ISPM 15 and thermal modification of wood. Cross-flow plate heat exchangers recover 70–80 % of the exhaust air heat and reduce thermal energy consumption by up to 30 %. Together with the partner company KARA Energy Systems, heat generation and boiler control are also integrated into the drying concept. In addition to the wood industry, BES Bollmann supplies industries such as food, process industry and automotive, including controlled drying of food, degassing of submarine cables and curing of adhesives and paints. Turnkey systems, retrofit of existing kilns as well as service and maintenance contracts round off the offering. Production takes place at the company's own sites in Almelo (NL) and Gottmadingen (DE, BES Bollmann Süd).

Processes and Materials
Conventional drying
Heated, forced air circulation for all wood species and thicknesses.
Progressive drying
Automated continuous drying with single-sided loading, optionally with ISPM 15 treatment.
Steam drying
Air is completely displaced by steam in the kiln; suitable, among other things, for oak and beech wood.
Heat treatment according to ISPM 15
Treatment of pallets and packaging wood with integrated temperature sensor technology.
Thermal modification
High-temperature treatment in an oxygen-poor environment to improve durability and stability.
Energy-efficient drying with heat recovery
Plate heat exchangers (cross-flow) with 70–80 % heat transfer and up to 30 % thermal energy savings.
Heat supply with KARA boilers
Coupled kiln and boiler control with bioenergy systems from KARA Energy Systems.
Wood (all wood species and thicknesses)
Base material of the applications, including oak and beech wood.
Food
Drying of food for consistent (flavour) quality.
Submarine cables
Degassing of submarine cables in the process industry.
Adhesives and paints
Controlled drying and curing, among other things in the automotive industry.
