Beton-Fertigteil-Union GmbH & Co. KG (BFU) is a manufacturer of precast concrete parts based in Schramberg-Waldmössingen in the Black Forest (Baden-Württemberg). The product range includes stairs in straight, semicircular, quarter-turn and half-turn designs, double walls, Iso-Twin walls and solid walls, balcony elements, Filigran ceiling slabs, and special parts such as columns, downstand beams and custom designs to customer specifications. Stairs are produced standing on their sides on a system stair formwork, giving them formwork-smooth surfaces on three sides; balconies are produced on butterfly formwork with formwork-smooth surfaces on all sides. The in-house technical office, staffed with engineers and architectural draftsmen, prepares all design and production documentation as early as the planning phase, in cooperation with architectural and engineering firms. With its own vehicle fleet, the company delivers the precast parts to the construction site on schedule. Reference projects include, among others, the Stadthalle Rottweil, the ice stadium in Villingen-Schwenningen, Heco-Schrauben GmbH & Co. KG and Schwäbische Werkzeugmaschinen; customers include private builders, commercial investors and the public sector.
