About Betonwerk Erich Winkler
Betonwerk Erich Winkler GmbH is a family-owned concrete plant in Bad Schmiedeberg (district of Stadt Pretzsch) in Saxony-Anhalt that has been in existence since 1926. The company manufactures concrete precast parts for construction, agriculture, environment and nature conservation, including mobile concrete blocks (WiMo concrete block, Lego bricks) for storage boxes and bulk goods, hollow blocks made of normal concrete and expanded clay lightweight concrete, reinforced concrete hollow-core slabs, as well as custom-made special components such as marking stones, fence posts, lintels, foundation slabs, shaft covers and anchor weights up to 3 t. Production takes place in steel moulds with high dimensional accuracy; reinforcement is designed on request. In addition, ready-mixed concrete C8/10 to C20/25 and building materials such as gravel, sand, expanded clay, paving grit and wood chips are delivered. The plant uses clinker-reduced cement and is committed to renaturation and biodiversity protection in the Dübener Heide Nature Park.

Concrete types and building materials
Normal concrete (hollow blocks)
Hollow blocks such as 3kHbn 4-1.4 for purpose-built structures, hall constructions and retaining walls.
Expanded clay concrete / lightweight concrete (Hbl 2-0.8, Hbl 2-0.7)
Lightweight concrete with improved insulation and weight properties, also for bat hibernation roost bricks.
Reinforced concrete (hollow-core slabs)
Reinforced concrete hollow-core slabs, 8 cm thick, lengths 80–150 cm, grid dimension 10 cm.
Ready-mixed concrete
Ready-mixed concrete in strength classes C8/10 to C20/25 for regional delivery.
Clinker-reduced cement
Reduces CO2 emissions and is used as a component of the sustainability strategy in the products.
