About BETRA Transformatoren
BETRA Transformatoren Behncke GmbH, based in Langenhagen near Hannover, specialises in the development, manufacturing and maintenance of explosion-proof transformers and rectifier systems. The series production of explosion-proof transformers evolved more than 50 years ago from the repair of special transformers for refineries. The products are designed and manufactured in accordance with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and delivered with an ATEX certificate. The transformers are not standardised: every order is engineered precisely to the requirements on site, especially in crude oil treatment, where almost every transformer is a one-off. The portfolio includes Desalter Power Units (EOX, EOXG, EOXS, EOXSG) with power ratings from 25 to 300 kVA, as well as thermographic inspections, oil analyses and preventive maintenance. BETRA transformers and rectifier systems are in operation around the globe.
