About beyerdynamic
beyerdynamic GmbH & Co. KG is a medium-sized company in the electroacoustics industry based in Heilbronn. Founded in 1924 by Eugen Beyer in Berlin, the company manufactures headphones, microphones, wireless audio systems and conference technology. Production takes place predominantly at the parent plant on Theresienstraße in Heilbronn; according to the company, around 85% of the microphones and headphones are made by hand there, including the Tesla headphones T1 and T5, which are produced entirely at the site from development to final assembly. The product range includes studio headphones (DT 770, DT 880, DT 990), studio and stage microphones, conference systems, interpreter consoles, tour guide systems as well as gaming headsets and consumer audio products. The products are used in recording studios, for live broadcasts in radio and television, and in the conference sector. In June 2025, the company was sold to the Chinese Cosonic Intelligent Technologies for approximately €122 million. In addition to the German headquarters, there is a subsidiary in the USA as well as branch offices in India and Singapore.
